I wasn't using the stock tires because they were packing up with mud too much. Bored last weekend and figured I would try my hand at my first tire mod. Clipped the little inward facing lug on the inner and outer second row of lugs. What a difference! Not only in clearing out the mud but also the overall bite on everything! Anyone else have any tire mods that work well?

Thinking about cutting the sidewalls off the KO2s, and the treads off a bunch of Flatirons, and making reasonable facsimile KM2s. Just haven't got around to it yet.

Tire trim looks good.. have been hashing the same idea but decided not to cut mine for the time being

I like it, I've been thinking about trimming mine but I was having trouble deciding on what to trim. I think you just solved my dilemma..

What tool did you use to trim? I think it's a wonderful idea and I can see a nice pattern to cut on my stockers. I thought about using the dremel but I would love to hear others methods of completing this procedure.

I'm wondering how it would effect if you cut the shoulder lugs in half.. ie they are wishbone shaped lugs with a long leg and short leg.. cutting off the short leg would give you a bigger void between the should lugs
