The concept of a remake dosn't bother me, but I am not buying Jeff Bridges voice in character. I can't put my finger on it, but something sounds fake.

I rented the original last week, I forgot how good that movie is, I watched it twice, what a cool movie,I wanted to remember some of the lines to see how close the remake is , the remake should be just as good.

John Wayne will understand.

Looks like a comic book movie to me . I wouldnt be suprised to see some sort of fancy firearms or characters with metal appendages in it .Mark my words it will be bastardised .

First thing i noticed was the eye patch was on the wrong eye... love the DUKE ,watch him every time he's on tube. Don't know about the new True Grit but I am going to see it .

one problem guys, the new one is not a remake. it's more true to the book, gotta remember that. that said i think it'll be pretty good IMO.
...and better believe i'm a Duke fan as well too. seen just about everything he's made.

I saw it the other night, actually a good movie. I typically pull out my phone during a movie and text, but watched this one all the way through. I'd recommend it to people who liked the old john wayne movies.
