TRX 1/16th Summit into '53 Ford 1/12th Crawler

That is kind of cool being on the inside of the truck. Love to see it in the boat and the Pro Street.

Thanks, glad you liked the "ride". "thumbsup" I'll have it in the others soon.

I love this little truck!!!! I'm glad to see is still around and kicking :)

Thanks, 8) I love her too. My yard seems to "grow" rocks, so all summer I add to the pile, and every now and then Punky has to go out and climb on the new rocks. Now the Fat Shark has added a whole new facet to this little jewel. ;-)

I got li'l Punky off of the shelf the other day so I thought I'd dust off this old thread too. :) I'd gotten a set of steel center driveshafts back at Xmas, so I got them installed and took her and my TRX down to some rocks I found alongside the highway for a little crawlin'.

My Ipod holder is on the TRX's trx so I didn't get many pic's of Punky, but I'm proud of the little Ford! It can't keep up with the Bronco, by any means, but it does OK for a mini-Summit.

Until I forgot which tires I was driving on and slid it sideways off the cliff into a 4-ft drop. Oh well, a little tailgate repair and it'll be FINE. :lmao:

Thanks for lookin'.

Very cool build! Well done.

Thank you, Sir. 8) Glad you like it. This was my first scale build when I got back into the hobby and it got me to push my limits a little and learn something new. It's still one of my favorites, it just doesn't get enough run time.
I may try the new BF Goodys on it soon, to see if that helps it a little, as long as I don't have to trim the fenders too much.

I took little Punky down to the rocks again this week. I still like this truck!

For what it started it's life as, it does pretty good for itself. :)

I'm gonna just give in and spool both diff's, 'cause I know it will help it. I've got a set of Proline's Class 1 BF Goodrich tires that I may try on it too.

Let's face it, when it's up against my TRX .... it needs ALL the help it can get. ;-)

Thanks for checkin' it out.

This is my favorite build. Is there any place to see all the pictures from OP still? I wanted to crawler out my mini revo and this is absolutely the best one I've seen so I'd like to copy it as much as possible lol. I should say take inspiration from this.

I found this originally on traxxas forum but this thread seems more in depth. Cheers.

Thank you. Glad you like it. "thumbsup" When I did this conversion (seems like a long time ago ;-)) I went all out, and I have to say .... it impressed me with its new capability. Sorry for the picture fails, I had a quirk with Photobucket and lost a few. I think there are still more pictures on Photobucket than I put in the thread. Just search for dr_frankenstyle. All of my pic's there are public viewable, but there are a lot. I still have the truck right here, so if there is anything you want more info about or pictures of, just let me know and I'll be happy to help out. I'm here pretty often, but I haven't been on the Traxxas forums for quite awhile. Maybe I should check back in there.
