Not seeing many of these, I guess they are not the best for having a low center, but my dad had this exact truck growing up so I decided to work with it 🤷‍♂️
I still have tons of ideas floating around but I'm slowly dialing in the suspension I'm running some trash shocks, working on desert lizards next. I lowered the steering servo and the pitman arm, drop linkage/ steeringThe body, even with all the scale crap on it, really isn't that heavy, and it will really get sideways before it starts to get in danger of a rollover. It's just a work in progress, but dang! After being out of the rc world for decades, this stuff is even more fun than I remember 🤣 I'll post project pics as soon as I'm able, but if you have a k5 build, please share!! Look forward to learning alot here, the information looks endless!!

Welcome to the site! I have one. My cousin actually gave it to me! I have yet to run it, but only because I got it out on the trail and forgot that I had switched the battery connector to Deans for him, which I used to run, rather than XT60 which is what I use now.

They are definitely top-heavy and meant more for trail runs rather than outright crawling performance. The TRX-4 is a ton of fun though!

Best way to post images is to upload them to a photo hosting site like Flickr, Imgur, etc. and then share the links here like I did above. I use Imgur, but it's not the most intuitive.

Thank you for the information, I've been out of the forum game for a while🤣 I used to use "photobucket" back in the day but I think it's long gone. AWESOME k5!! It's so nice I wouldn't want to wheel it! I really like those oem wheels, the center caps are so sick!!
I'm going to go work on hosting some pictures. Thanks again Jato! 👍

Just became a member, so I now reserve the right to post as many pictures as i see fit🤣🤣
I know it's not going to be for everyone, and it has its flaws, but I just wanted stupid amounts of flex, even if I had to sacrifice some c.o.g. it's just a fun slow project that I'm always changing things on. One of the trickiest mods I've done was building the metal wiper blades and my favorite upgrade is the hobbywing 1800, and I have the digital programming box too, which I'll defend till the day I die 🤣🤣🤣 can't wait to get to know the community!!!

Thank you! The K5 does look sweet as-is and I really don't want to change it, but the desire for performance may take over. We shall see. I wish someone would make those wheels in aluminum beadlocks. I'd like to switch out the tires for sure.

Please post as many pics as you'd like! We love photos around here.

Nice Blazer! Definitely more flex than most of us want (one tire height), but whatever works for you. It looks like it still performs. Are those China tires on it?

I think the only options are, leave it stock or mod it to the moon🤣🤣🤣 once you put the first part on, the next thing you know your axles are fully disassembled 🤔
I knew the look wouldn't be for everyone, but I just saw this image of the axles looking like an "X" from the front and I just kept going 🤣
This is the 5th set of tires, I just keep buying cheap Amazon tires until I find what tread works the best, then I may shell out for a name brand, but I'm pretty dang cheap most of the time🤷‍♂️. It does still do pretty good on the courses, sometimes the ground clearance really works in my favor🤣

Added winch hook strap finally! Been wanting this for a while, finally remembered to add it to my cart with all my fcx18 parts 🤣🤣20251111_174842.jpg20251111_174933.jpg
