trx 4 purchase

Can anyone tell me where to get the best deal on a trx4? I usually make all my purchases from Tower hobbies and Amain hobbies but Towers don't have trx4 or even a Hpi venture. Secondly, Amain doesn't allow certain products like these things mentioned above to be discounted with coupons.

None of the main crawler manufacturers allow coupons to be used on their kits or RTR vehicles.

It does not matter what seller you buy from.

Traxxas, Axial, Vaterra, HPI, Losi, ECX, Redcat, all do not allow this.

RC4WD and GMade do allow using coupons.

You will find that the TRX4 is basically the same price everywhere you look.

See if you can get it with free shipping and no sales tax.

Outside of finding one at your LHS (some are having Memorial Day sales this weekend) the only place I’m aware of that you can use a coupon code is eBay, and it’s not frequent that their codes have sellers with traxxas items.

Try local first, may get lucky this weekend!

There's Craigslist, OfferUp, LetGo, or a similar Google Play Store app if you're comfortable buying used locally. You might find a used one on eBay if you're patient, and they provide a lot of buyer protection. If you don't HAVE to have a trx-4 and money's tight, I'd recommend the Ascender since they're about $70 off ATM. To complete a kit like the one below I'd recommend:

$50 GT3C radio
$40 WP1080 ESC
$12 JX PDI-6221MG 20KG servo
$10 GoolRC 35t motor

$362 total including a body, fantastic ESC, nice radio, and decent servo, as opposed to $369 for the trx-4 kit with basic electronics and WITHOUT a body. On the other hand, with the trx-4 kit, you can choose your favorite body (at a cost, of course), plus you get unlock-able differentials and cruise-control. [emoji106]

Hold out for eBay. Look daily for eBay coupons. I was able to get my rtr Bronco for $380 using the coupon. Then I found a lhs that sold on eBay so I went and picked it up after completing the trans on eBay.
