There are alot of questions about the scale of these rigs so I will use simple indisputable math to simplify and clarify. Lets start with the Bronco. A real factory ford built (1:1) 1979 bronco has a 104" wheelbase. If you divide that by 10 you get 10.4" which is what a true 1/10 scale replica would be, but the trx4 bronco has a 12.3" wheelbase. Therefore the trx4 bronco is NOT a true 1/10 scale vehicle. Take the wheelbase of the real thing and divide it by the wheelbase of the trx4 and that gets you it's true scale. 104 ÷ 12.28 = 8.47 so the trx4 bronco is really a 1/8.5 true scale vehicle. Now lets move on to wheel and tire size. 1.9 × 8.5 = 16.1 so a 1.9" wheel will look about like a 16" wheel. 1.55 × 8.5 = 13.17 so a 1.55" wheel will look like a 13" wheel. 4.7 × 8.5 = 39.9 so a 4.7" tire will look like a 40" tire. 4.1 × 8.5 = 34.84 so a 4.1" tire will look roughly like a 35" tire.
A true 1/10 scale defender would have a wheelbase of 11". The trx4 defender has a 12.75" wheelbase and the real deal has a 110" wheelbase. 110 ÷ 12.75 = 8.6 so the defender is a 1/8.6 true scale vehicle.

Have you checked the width math as well?
