Turnigy or MKS HV-767 Servo? Anyone tried?

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any real life experiance with this servo http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9983. Seems to be a great deal for what your getting just not to sure if the quality is there. They were originally manufactured by MKS but Turnigy has rebranded them.

Looks really good but if you burn it up you're screwed... that's what would scare me.

Hobby king does have a warranty program it just takes quite a while to complete and it would cost about 6 bucks in shipping back to them, it's a chance you take but at 59 I'll go through alot more tp mg946r before I go through this I would think. They also have the cases and gear rebuilds in stk for these.

MKS makes all Turnigy servo's. My heli servo's were bought as "MKS" and shipped Turnigy. When I asked HK what happened, I was told that MKS makes the Turnigy's. They work well, and I'm going to add one of these to my order next time I buy. I usually make sure to buy enough to justify EMS shipping. EMS fron Hong Kong is faster to Texas than USPS Priority is from Cali. :-(

It's about 2-3 weeks reg air mail to Canada and 3-4 days EMS when they have their sh*t together. Seems they have a bit of a short staff issue right now but they're working to sort it out.

somebody please post when they do try these out - they seem pretty badass and tougher than most while half the price.

the only HK / turnigy products i have tried are lipos and charger. if this holds up anything like those. i'd order one of these in an instant.

Yep... I've been using a Turnigy Accucell 6 for about a year now. I'm using Turnigy servo's in my T-Rex 500 for cyclic and they work just fine so far. I like the aluminum case and top.

Using an accucell 6 as well as the turnigy batteries, all works great and mks has a great rep so far so here's hoping the best, just placed my order.

Anybody happen to know what "brand or size" metal servo horn will work on these? I noticed that it only comes with plastic ones.

Thought I read somewhere that it was a futaba 25t spline but don't quote me on that. I would really like to know this as well so I can have an aluminum horn waiting. I guess I could just buy a 25t anyways since it is what the towerpro mg946r uses and that is my current servo on my ax10. Anyone one have any turnigy or mks servo's to check with? Thanks

Very true, EMS Express does get delievered within 3~4 days, that is when it is actually shipped out.
Problem is the slow process time which have taken like 3~4 days itself (from my previous experience).

I now just use the regular airmail and i have received it anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks time frame.

Good news, ordered mine on the 12th and got an email last night with tracking info so it has shipped.......pretty quick turn around considerign there was a weekend in there. Guess they are getting the chaos sorted out. Also got an email that they were sending me a new servo from an rma that was created 2 months ago.....guessing the delay was due to the staff shortage and chinese new year. Things are looking up around there now though.

Not yet, just left Hong Kong post couple of days ago so I'm probably looking at 3-4 business days I'm guessing. Don't worry guys I'll post up my thoughts as soon as it's in hand.
I'm trying to buy some batts as well and out of 10 possibilities none of them are in stock.......lame.

It's a little bigger than my JR9100T.

The case is aluminum though, seems like a nice servo. I'm going to get it installed in the super and see how it does.

from the pics it looks like it would fit in the normal servo mounts, right? it is only bigger than a typical servo in the one dimension, height (if standing upright)?
