Well I'm new to this forum, but I've been an active member of URC for over a year now and I figured since my favorite RC is a pretty good crawler I'd make an account on RCCrawler. So here I am!

First off this project was started about 11 months, so here is the original thread on URC: Vaterra Twin Hammers-Rock Bouncer - RC Rock Crawlers & Scalers @ URC Forums

Anyway I will still share some pics and a video of it here as it has evolved.

Basic specs:
Axial 20T brushed motor (originally 27T)
Traxxas XL-5 ESC
Solar D772 servo
Spektrum Glitchbuster
Flysky GT3C
GForce 1000+1300mah 2S batteries

Upgrades include:
Gmade 85mm aluminum shocks
Xtremeracing carbon fiber top plate
Proline 4mm blue aluminum wheel nuts
Axial 8 hole beadlocks
Vanquish Currie Titanium upper links
Axial 5 Bucket LED light bar/RPM Narrow light bar

It has both diffs locked and is mainly setup for crawling, currently it is not using sway bars.

Here's my latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJxtYVrWoec

I chopped a lot of the cage off to increase the approach angle, since the long end of the cage and spare wheel would always get hung up. Eventually I came up with the Slash 2WD body mount/TH shock tower setup. I used the body mount from the Slash and screwed it into the hood of the cage and mounted up the shocks so I now have a front mounted battery. It is a much better crawler than out of the box and a very interesting jumper since it's so heavy in the front. Anyway thanks for reading.
