Twin Hammers v3 ?

My son currently has the v2 and was looking to buy one for myself, possibly the Kit version. I noticed that HH is having a $40 off special, does this mean the TH is ending soon? Or possibly a v3?

My LHS in Australia who sell predominantly Vaterra products haven't been keeping spares at their warehouse for the Twin Hammers for sometime. I asked why and they said the TH had run it's course and was being phased out. The only upside to this news was that any remaining kits and spares they had were heavily discounted to clear the shelves.

I think parts are still available, but by special order only.

I think the release of all the WLToys clone hammers trucks pretty much meant the end for the Twin Hammers. Whether it's the cause or the effect, I'm not sure.

I phoned a UK modelstore today trying to hunt down some spur gear and asked about lack of stock of the kit etc. He seemed to think that a V3 is on the way and it didnt look like spares were being discontinued.

I reckon vaterra must be making a larger than ever quantity of spare parts for all the chinese clones that need propping up with good parts... hell, they are probably making more money that way... i’m sure a lot of people are spending more money buying the clones and then needing vaterra parts.
