UFC Tonight

I don't even know who fought tonight...

Main card had:

CM Punk vs Mike Jackson
Andre Arlovski vs Tai Tuivasa
Holly Holm vs Megan Anderson
Rafael dos Anjos vs Colby Covington (I cant f'ing stand Covington)
Robert Whitaker vs Yoel Romero

Whitaker vs Romero is starting in a few minutes

Anyone watch the fights?, particularly Conor/Khabib, I kinda enjoyed watching Conor get owned, especially after all the bullshit he gets away with.
What happened after was pretty bad, although I'm less bothered by Khabib jumping out of the ring to go after Danis, than I am about 3 of Khabibs teamates jumping into the ring to go after Conor..who it appears may have thrown the 1st punch actually.

I'm a Conor fan. His fighting skill isn't as great as his personality. I get that. But he's a gifted striker and still one of the most entertaining fighters of this current generation.

Conor sells tickets. Khabib does not. I can't stand fighters like Khabib who hug people to death. I understand it's mixed martial arts and an awesome ground finishing move is fun to watch, but when people like Khabib dry hump their opponent for an entire match it's boring as hell. Conor is good for the UFC. Khabib is not.

I wish Conor would work on his ground game, but I honestly don't think he cares enough to do that. So I wish the UFC would match him up against more stand up fighters. I don't think Conor will even be in the sport much longer though. He got in, got his way too many millions, and now has the riches and means to retire which is what desired. In the match against Khabib I think he gave up. He didn't get choked out. How do you get choked when the arm was on his chin? Even Joe Rogan said, while announcing the fight, something like "He's got his neck! Oh no it's on the chin" and two seconds later Conor tapped. I don't understand why nobody in the media has addressed this at all.

Although I will say Derrick Lewis had the most legendary and hilarious post fight interview that I can remember. It's hard to find the unedited version online, but if you can find it watch it!

"My ball are hot"..Derrick Lewis..:lmao:

Conor may of tapped early, was listening to Rogan this morning, explaining it didn't matter that the choke was on his chin, the leverage from behind and the squeeze could still sleep ya. Either way he was beat and knew it.

I too like a good stand up, but have grown to appreciate the ground game.
As far as the matchup, It had to happen.
