Using Marinade As Sauce?

I've been looking at endless google searches on the subject and it seems the results are still 50/50.

Normally I always buy extra marinade or sauce when it's planned use is grilling but today I did not. I have a dozen or so chicken thighs that will see the grill in a few hours and I'm wondering what the food folks on here think about reusing the marinade for a sauce. The plan would just be to boil the left over marinade for several minutes and use it as a glaze.

I know they're a lot of food semi-experts on here so what are your opinions and has anyone done this?

TIA, Jon

Yes, you could do so. Did it myslef couple of times. However, keep in mind that marinades contain lots of salt. Ad water (or white wine) to reduce the taste of too much salt.
