USPS Rant

I FAWKIN HATE USPS....... They are probably the WORST company that I have ever had to deal with.

Question if I pay for my item to have a tracking number why cant I track it.... Then when I call to ask about the tracking they tell me its only a curtisy. I traded someone an item on here and he sent it out on the 9th (Monday) and I sent my package to him on Tuesday. I used UPS with 200 dollars insurance and tracking, 15 lbs. cost 15 dollars. Its getting from FL to PA in 4 days (will be there tomorrow). He sent his out with USPS on Monday and my tracking number still shows the same thing since Monday that it was received.... and thats it! Expected Delivery date is the 16th, holy cow 7-8 days to ship from PA to FL. I could wallk there and back faster, USPS is an absolute joke. I really f-in hate using them I hate it even more when I have to call them to complain. Maybe they are this bad on the phone because they have to deal with complaints all day but seriously, if you dont like your CUSTOMER RELATIONS job QUIT!!!!! I refuse to use them for any of my shipping needs, I understand the person who shipped my package out doesnt have the same feeling for the USPS as I do but my god I really hate them with a Passion!!!!!!!!!

I have had so many bad incidents with them that it really gets me agrivated even more everytime I have another one. Well I guess Im done with my RANT for now.

I hear ya.

if tracking is a courtesy why the hell do i pay .70 cents for it. i just purchased an item on e-bay paid for it thru pay pal (another rant i'll do later). item shipped and tracking provided, ok i click on it and nothing is there. so a week of checking every day and nothing. went to the mail box and there it was sitting there, awesome.
i check the tracking number again and nothing. then a day later all info from the time it left and every stop it made is entered after the thing was delivered. not the way its supposed to work but hey it is run by the government so i guess bend over and take it as usual....

ill add to this old dog from Canada

I just shipped weighted 1.9 steelies and pitbulls to PA with Canada Post, cost me $24 to ship and takes 5 business days, $100 insurance and comes with a tracking number. That is there cheapest option. Not bad right.

Ordered some CI foams, shipped USPS. Cost me the same amount to ship and is going to take 3-5 weeks, no insurance, limited tracking.. the most expensive shipping option was nearly three times that amount and still 10-15 days...

seriously?! what is basically air costs more and takes longer? If i shipped the foams to the us it would cost me like $10 and be there in 5 days... hell for $25 i could probably have them there in 2-3 days

Why is the USPS hurting and closing some offices and processing plants?
USPS has to pay all retirement money up front every year. USPS has over paid and the govt will not pay it back.

Damaged pkgs yes it happens but a lot of times the person that packed the item did a poor job of it. I'm speaking from experience. 2 wine bottles with only a piece of card board between them. A snow globe with no packing. A bow for the violin the shipper put it in a plastic bag with only a thin piece of card board around the bow. A lot of people reuse crappy boxes also. Companies ship knives that stab thru the box and end up cutting the carrier, poor packing. Tape can be their friend but a lot of people are afraid to use extra tape on a pkg.

5 day delivery may happen by the middle of the year.

DC delivery confirmation or SC signature confirmation; I'll use either 1. It just depends on the gut feeling about dealing with that person. If your worried about a trade then put a hold on the delivery of the pkg that you sent. If need be fill out a parcel return so you can get yours back at least. Always use a tracking #.

Most of us pack our items very well but their are some that don't.

A buddy one county over sent me a small package of parts before Christmas. It still hasn't shown up. Apparently the tracking shows that it has been pretty much everywhere but my doorstep. :ror:

My mother-in-law once asked me if I had any twine. When I asked what she was using it for, she said to tie up the packages she was shipping out.

I politely reminded her that it is no longer 1943 and that we have adhesive tape technology. I walked into the house a bit later and found a big ass box with Scotch tape wrapped around it. :ror:

Who the hell pays $600 for a screen door?
