Vanquish F9 5mm axles - Wheel Fitment

I have a set of Vanquish Currie F9 portal axles.
The stub axles you mount wheels to are larger than standard, 5mm vs 4mm.
Not all wheels fit on these larger stub axles or should I say the larger axle nut does not fit to allow a driver to tighten the wheels.
My wheels in question Are the Boom Raceing ProBuild wheels, 5 lug.
Are there Boom racing hubs or a slw hub that will fit the bigger nuts?
I lucked into my last set of wheels fitting, but the Booms I cannot fit a nut driver in...
Solutions?

Gotta use flangeless nuts, and grind an 8mm driver down until it’s thin enough to fit inside the recessed part of the wheel.

I have 5mm Locked Up RC axle shafts on my original SCX10 with Vanquish SLW hubs.

The Vanquish 8mm nut driver is able to fit into their SLW hubs. Here is the link to the nut driver without a handle:

https://www.vanquishproducts.com/8mm-nut-driver-replacement-tool-tip/

Or with a handle and additional sizes:
https://www.vanquishproducts.com/metric-nut-driver-tool-set/

If you look at the second link, it specifically says that the 8mm driver will fit into their SLW hubs, which has been my experience.

Yeah do you have the VP nut driver? its a thinned out version made specifically for this application.

You could also take your current driver to a grinder or belt sander to thin it out, I did this before I got the VP driver.

I do not have the Vanquish nut driver. Guess I may have to pony up. A shame it needs their handle - a hex would would work with any handle.
I'll work with other wheels for the time being (SSD's work).
Thanks

I have a set of the probuild wheels and saw the same thing. I drilled out the hub bolt holes and use slw hubs with them since they can accept a 5mm wheel nut and driver without issue (plus I have an assortment of slw hubs and won't have to buy new hubs to change offset). I realize that isn't the solution for everyone, its just what I did.

ETA: Crap, I just realized you have the wheel centers with the five hole hubs. So slw hubs aren't even an option. Well, my other approach to this was going to be boring out the recessed hole in the hubs just enough to allow the nut driver to fit. Easier said than done, so likely not an option.

Simple solution, run 5mm coupler nuts with blue locative. They usually clear the center and you can use a nut driver to tighten. See my Bomber thread if you are curious as to how it looks. You can chuck them up in a drill and grind off the excess hex if they don’t fit the hub. McMaster Carr item. Check their hardware as well, to offset the shipping cost.

That has been a thought. I can get a 6 bolt hub & 6 bolt rim center and piece them up too.

Another way for me to look into, thanks.
