I was curious if anyone has tried Vant lipo packs and how do you like them? Do they seem to be decent quality packs? The cheap price throws a few red flags but ya never know.

I'm looking at this particular shorty pack for my Twin hammers. It'll fit, but the bullet style plug wires concern me since there would be no protection given by the rear cage...

VAN2S4690-S $42.99 Vant Battery 7.4V 4600mAh 2S Cell 90C-180C Shorty HardCase LiPo Battery Pack w/ 4mm Bullet & Deans Ultra Connector : The Barn Floor - Dirt Cheap RC

How realistic do you think their C ratings are? They seem a little ridiculous, especially for the money....

I have a couple 5200mah 2S 50-100c Vant batteries. One had an issue as the board solder joint came off inside the battery. I tried to fix it but couldn't get the solder to stick at all. I emailed the eBay vendor, I think it was barnfloor they asked for a few pics and sent me a new one. Thus far they have held up great in my 1/8 stuff. All of them are castle MMM powered. As for the c rating, I don't know but I have 15+ runs on em and no puffing that I can see.

I still have that battery with the broken solder joint...think I'll try silver solder one day and see if that sticks.

I've tried that, even had a seasoned pro try. The battery tab itself is what broke and not even he could get anything to stick. We didn't have any silver to try. All I know is it was soldered before somehow so it must be possible.
