venom axle lockers

you would have to start with a 4 channel radio.then you would have to get 2 kits from venom and 2 servos.i see the benefit of having them but the rear dig would be better, when ever it comes out.if you did all of that then you would need a 5 channel radio.i would just play with it to see if you really need it.to me you dont need it being i only use mind for crawlin.

As stated you would need a 4+ channel radio. I have a DX6i so its no problem for me. What scram8 said is true but let me clarify, you only need 2 remote diff locker kits (it comes with the servo). There are a few tricks you can do with the remote lock kits. Say you have 1 tire stuck in a hole that keeps wedging it into that hole. You unlook the diff so that the other tires pull that one tire out of the hole instead of keep wedgeing it into there. Also you can do dig with these diffs if you know how to work it. You put a tire up agaisnt an obstacle and turn the lockers off. This will cause the tire up agaisnt the obstacle to stop spinning and your other tires will just go around the obstacle "thumbsup".

I never thought of it like that. You could set it up like a front dig with free wheel in the back. I may just have to do this now.

hey

hey all... I did not buy the kit but I did buy a servo and made a link just as another member had... ever since I have done that I have had nothing but problems with the diff unlocking on its own...so I unhooked the servo and put the screw back into the switch as b4 and now it still slips out... I think I will just go with the axial locker mod... I have pulled it apart and made sure all the pins were good and everythign seems to be working just fine.... maybe to good ha:roll:

Mine eventually worked by opening the diff case squirting in a gang buster of JB weld and closing the diff case back up... That is how you operate the axles locked.
