Anyone have experience with this stuff? Seems ideal as it can be reused, plastic compatible and 5 year shelf life. Looks like it's resin based

Vibra-Tite VC-3 Threadmate is one of the most versatile threadlockers available on the market. An alternative to traditional liquid lockers which cure to form a hard bond, VC-3 is a proprietary blend of thermoplastic elastomer resins designed to remain flexible and absorb vibration. The combination of inert/non-reactive amorphous resins creates a tough, semi solid layer inside the threads of a mated joint. VC-3 damps the vibrational energy transferred between the threads of a mated fastener, preventing fastener loosening and loss of clamp load. These unique differences make VC-3 coated fasteners truly adjustable, removable, and reusable.

From tiny eyeglass screws to huge construction bolts, Vibra-Tite VC-3 is ideal for use on fasteners of any size.
Mounting ski / snowboard bindings, plates and inserts.
RC models (Drones, Airplanes, Helicopters).
Bolts on motorcycles.
In addition to supplying user-applied bottles and cans of Vibra-Tite VC-3 for on-the-job application, ND Industries can apply Vibra-Tite VC-3 at any of our regional service centers.

Not sure I'd use that on an rc. 1:1 more than likely

Yeah I think this would be more for 1:1s for things that rattle like crazy.

Does heat work to break it loose if needed? I would want that property.

I've been using the red loctite knockoff from harbor freight on rc stuff for easily 10 years. It's fantastic, it doesn't hold like real red loctite, it's like blue but it comes loos easier once you turn it about 90°.

It shows a picture of an RC plane in the ad and mentions it can used for any sized fastener.

No heat needed, just slow steady pressure to release it. Might be nice for metal on metal parts you need to take off for maintenance and such as you apply once for multiple times of use. Reviews are really good for this product and if anything would be great for 1:1 use as well

Ended up ordering a small tube and this stuff defiantly lives up to the hype of being reusable and holding like red, but removing like blue. It feels like red at first when removing, then once it lets go it get easier. Doesn't give you the "Snap" release of regular red loctite, but feels about as strong if that makes sense
And easy to work with as it's less watery than non resin based loctite.

I tried it and wasn’t impressed.

Didn’t have the holding power of any good blue thread lock and it completely dried out in the tube in a couple months. I didn’t bother buying more. Vibratite blue gel is still the champion of RC thread lock in my book.

I'll have to see what happens in a couple months, but loving it so far! And i only need the strength of purple in all honesty. Blue or red for the motor pinion. I was using purple 222 prior to this and blue/red on motor pinion set screw. I can also see this being good for SS fasteners as they can roundoff easier....just need to make sure i use slow steady pressure at 1st until it gives and releases.

I don't know how it compares, but no complaints here using Loctite Blue Medium in the Chapstick-style dispenser - it's waxy, and I use toothpicks to apply it.

My favorite thing about it is the cleanliness...

I like that! One thing i hate about loctite is how messy it can get. I'll have to implement the toothpick idea for application.
