VXL-3s motor connectors?

I want to put my VXL esc in my SCX-10 for a while so I can run my new 3s lipos until I can afford a proper lipo friendly esc to replace my XL-5.

What motor connectors do I need so I can wire up my 45t brushed motor? And is it something I can find at radio shack? (crosses fingers!)

About all I know is IIRC I need some type of bullet connector but I'm not sure.

Don't install motor connectors in the circuit, they are unneeded and just end up causing more trouble then they will ever save you from.

Just direct solder the wire to the motor.

You misunderstand what I'm trying to explain.

The Traxxas vxl esc itself doesn't have motor wires, the wires are hardwired to the brushless motor, so you pull them out of the esc and now I have an esc with no motor wires at all. Just the ports to plug a wire into, I'm looking to find some new plugs like that so that I can make some wires to plug into it to run my brushed motor in my scaler.

They are probably 4mm bullets. Do you have anything to measure the ID of the ports? While radio shack has cheap banana plugs that will likely work, what you really want to use is a compression style plug like the Castle or Tekin bullets.

I use 4mm Castle style bullets on all my rigs. I have never had one single issue with them in the years I have run em, and they have lower resistance than the 13ga wire they replace.

Best I can figure with my calipers is 3.42mm

Looks like 3.5mm bullets then. I am not aware of any companies that make them in the high current version, only the spring version. Not a big deal with a 45t motor, but they tend to wiggle loose easier than the compression (castle) type.
