Vxl 3s ?

not really used for crawling. No drag brake, ie won't hold you on the rocks. You could run it on a basher/scaler as long as you don't wanna crawl anything with success.

I've got the vxl and velineon from my slash 4x4 in my scx10 dingo. i have it geared low and the gear mesh set real tight so it may not have a drag brake but it holds good enough for hills (if ur a heavy rock crawler u may want something else). I trail ride, mud bog and bash and i like it way better than the brushed motors ive tried (55t, 27t, and 15t) although the vxl and my $20 55t motor worked great on the rocks and would hold its position no matter how steep the incline. I say run the vxl and velineon and grab a cheap 55t or 65t for when ur in the rocks.

i used my vxl 3s on my venom creeper and i like it..i didnt have a drag brake but i did have my dig so i could lock up my ass end and it would hold just fine..now i have my 3s on my honcho with a 17 turn motor and it works awsome i love it..so i say use the shit outta it..let it ride..

I run the vxl system in mine and my wife's scale trucks because we do alot of hill climbs and mud bogs and we need the wheel speed. Even though it doesnt have a drag brake or the best low speed control with some finger control you can do more than you think. At our last TTC i finished 4th and my wife got 7th out of 18 people so its not all that bad.If you use a different esc you'll have alot more control with all the power you can handle, you just have to make sure you water proof like the vxl.

I'd been running a Sidewinder until its (nearly) waterproof box leaked, got wet and killed it. Swapped in my VXL3S out of my slash, what a dissapointment. Slow, delay reverse, needless to say I had another Sidewinder on the way the day after.

Castle Sidewinder 10/10 (now have a waterproof one  )
VXL3S in a scaler 2/10

A LCC/ LNC doesn't use drag brakes. Neither does the Worminator
