Warn winch problem dx4c axial wraith

So I got a warn winch for my wraith. This is my first time messing with a winch.I am running a dx4c radio. I plugged the winch right into aux 3. Set my radio to aux 3 , 3 position switch. I used an old servo for a winch controller. I found the DIY on youtube. I can get the winch to pull rope but not give. I tried messing with some settings in expo and subtrim but no luck. Still takes rope but will not give. Plz help!

Try a different switch and rebind.

Sounds like your winch controller isnt working properly i run the warn winch with the rc4wd wired controller with a dx4s with no issues perhaps you have something incorrectly wired on the homemade controller?

Check that you have the channel programmed properly.
Plug a servo into that channel. It should move left, center and right (three positions). Sounds like it is only moving left and right (two positions).

Better yet just buy Heyok's winch controller and be done with the headaches and failures

What switch do you have it on? My brother could not use switch a but he used e and it works good.

Idk what's going on with my dx4c but right now just trying to select my switch E for winch control and there is no option for 3 position switch. no aux options in there unlike last night where there was. Wtf is going on? The radio is 2 weeks old! Why are those options no longer there?

I am on model 2 like the hobby shop mentioned as well.

Check to ensure you have the advanced options menu enabled

Do you mean avc enabled? That's on "inhibit".

Most of the dx4's have a basic setting and advanced setting on basic some options are not visible
