Today around 1:19 a wildfire started in cle Elum Washington and quickly moved to ellensburg Washington where it has already burned 40 homes to the ground and is currently burning more, it even almost took out a chimp sanctuary. I feel so bad for these people. I live 45 minutes from ellensburg and it's very smokey here and tomorrow it's suppost to be 98 degrees all day there as well as here. I feel especially bad for the fire fighters I know a few of them fighting it. I hope that these fires along with the rest of the fires around the world quit soon, so much damage and danger come from them.

My thoughts go out to everybody in the area. I have traveled thru, camped and hunted that area for 30 plus years.SCARY Chit to watch it happen that close. I was driving down Blewitt yesterday and passed by about 1/2 hour after it started, just missed the closing of the highway.

Winds were high and it was in the high 80's,best of luck to all your friends in the area.

Thanks I know I've been thinking the entire night about the fire, there are 60+ homes gone now and national guard and 140 inmates on the fire line as well...at least the inmates are earning their stay

Best of luck to all of those in the area.....ESPECIALLY the emergency crews.

At this time the fire is still 0% contained and has been over 24 hours after it had been ignited. They are expecting 30 MPH winds tonight I don't want to even think what will happen

Feel bad for everyone there. The family and I drove over 97 yesterday on our way home from vacation and could see it from Blewit Pass. My understanding is that they closed it shortly after we drove by. And now from what I see on maps, it looks like it crossed 97. Scary stuff for sure.

Yeah it was closed, right now 70 homes and 40 barns and things like that have burned, we're getting pretty bad winds here and I'm about 45 minutes from ellensburg. They have reported that it's 10% contained but with the winds I'm not sure it will stay that way, still scary and I hope everyone stays safe out there

I have to go up there for work on thursday. I hope they get it under control my buddy Dickwart says he is safe in thorp. He says it is on the other side of the river from where he lives.

Yeah I hope it's under control by then or we will have lots to worry about, hope your buddy stays safe up there.
