What? A YetiXL?

well the yeti was way too wide to be scale. im hoping they simply stretch the WB a bit, and put an appropriate sized cage/body on this one. so it doesnt look like a Revo like the current yeti.
ie width would be the same as current, but WB and cage would be larger.

edit: did a quick photo shop, increased the cage and body size by 15% and threw on some 2.8" Racelines

Little detective work leads me to believe this truck will have 40 series wheels...

Assuming this pic of the Raceline wheels is showing what looks to be at least a 5mm axle stub, that wheel looks to be at least 100mm across.

Say What?

This rig has the exact same track width, (12") and only slightly narrower chassis than the Yeti. I think it's scale, compare the pics. Which is more scale?

Hehehe this is hilarious! It looks big but not 5th scale.

For a 1/8 vehicle, I'd really prefer they'd go to 17-mm hexes.

Might be 17mm hex. I remember the Revo had a kit to go to 17mm hex but use a normal 5/6mm nut. The nut was just like what is shown, had a huge washer built into the back.

Here's a couple more shots I've found tagged with the #yetiXL hashtag.

I hope those aren't 17mm hexes on a 6mm axle, the savage flux uses that design and it blows out wheel hexes like crazy since those things never stay tight. 1/8 buggy type 17mm hexes with capped wheel nuts would look just as scale as that locknut/giant washer setup and actually stay on.

Yep. A 1/8 buggy/truggy setup is what I was thinking of when I said "17-mm." If this thing is 1/8 scale in terms of wheel size and power level, it will need a a hub setup like that to hold together.

I'm getting all anxious now, that video was awesome.

Yeah I CANNOT wait to get my hands on one! Thanks to whoever was brave enough to make that video! A spy video/sneak peek doesn't get much better then that.

No bravery was involved. The video was clearly filmed by Axial.
