What? A YetiXL?

LMAO, instead of bitching about the actual product, everyone has now moved on to bitching about how it's marketed.

im not bitching, being in the biz for 15 years its more of a critique than anything. its my job... the thing they had at axialfest was pretty cool, actually show a select few people and let them create the buzz.

its a neat idea to have some sort of spy shot 'find the yeti' thing, but fake viral is just that. fake.

If that was directed towards me, I wasn't bitching about it. I was just making an observation that the Bigsquid and Axial probably worked together on it. look up V/H/S/ for the reference I gave.. it was a joke.

FYI

I love my Yeti. It's my go to rig. Super happy with it.

It wasn't, it's just a general observation of this thread. "thumbsup"

Look, I understand that there's a lot of heat on this thread but we need to chill out and move on. There was a string of sarcastic comments made and they weren't intended to offend anyone. For those of us, like me, who simply want to hear some speculations on the Yeti XL, don't care for your arguing. I also know that the moderators handle this stuff, but we need to help out ourselves, step up, and act like grown men. Back to the new vehicle now. I think that the XL is more than another truck. This thing will start a new craze of large scale crawling. Obviously there is a market for this stuff already, however its rather small. I would love to have a large scale AR60 build.

Back in the original "something fast at axial" thread I said 'wake me up when they do something for super class'. I'm awake. I have so much fun with my 40 series crawlers but there's no class/aftermarket for it. When people talk about the super class, they always talk fondly and about how fun and capable the class is. Everyone talks about the newest 5.81" 2.2 tires. Then a tire comes out that is 5.85" and everyone flips out. Wait until the market has a line of 7"-9" sticky ass scale tires. I'm in and so is my wallet.

i love what they are doing with incorporating the axial logo into the parts. when i first got my yeti it was one of the first details i noticed on the front steering arms, big axial logo. "thumbsup"

That's in case you forget which one of the 1/8 scale, solid rear axle rock buggy type car you are driving. I mean, there are so many of them that its hard to keep track.

That upper link mount looks like its gonna be a centered axle housing. I bet they get rid of the 'lockout' ends and make it a one piece rear axle only. Doubt they will release hubs and knuckles for a steering axle. Surely the gearset will be bigger??

my guess is the price point will be around 450-500 bucks

I'd say that number would be a bit low. The cost of larger electronics alone would probably push it into the 500-600 range considering the current yeti is already $400. Also have to figure in bigger tires/wheels, new larger rear axle. There's a lot of new stuff going into this thing.

I dont know about y'all but I don't like the new axle. There's no diff cover. Hopefully vanquish will do what they did with the old ax10 and release an AR60 style axle. With removable diff covers and etc.

Yeah there is, there's two screws on either side that look to come out and the cover piece can be removed. Look close.
