not sure about toys r us, but check out walmart as well, you can usually find scale cars and just borrow their bodies, thats what im thinking of doing, hard body from something else and then see how much abuse itll take

Yea I'm just not sure what scale to get ya know! I know scx10 is 1/10 scale but some guys are running 1/8 scale silverado bodies which is what I want!
The 1/10 new bright bodies are a bit small for the scx10. The 1/8 bodies have become harder to come by. You just have to check stores frequently and see what comes up. Garage sales and goodwill are good places to check. Remember hard bodies are top heavy and need some extra weight down low to compensate.
