hi guys just wondering what batteries everyone is running, would be really helpful if you guys could put a link.
want to make basically a data base of most popular batteries :)
thanks guys

He wants to know the most popular, not what is recommended "thumbsup"

I run Duratrax Onyx for my NiMH batteries, and Hyperion for my lipos. Copper Tops for the AAs in my radios.

Even if that is true thats not what he asked in the post so Im not sure how you came to that conclusion. he asked what batteries everyone is running. that thread is full of people telling you what batteries they are running, where they got them from, run times, prices, links ect. obviously the more recent posts are the most up to date but its all good info and worth checking out the sticky.
last I knew Value Hobby still had the best deals in micro lipos shipped in the US. I have a few of the 350s. and I think 250s. check that thread for links "thumbsup"

ive read that sticky "post battery finds here" im after what works and what fits and i have searched... im looking for batteries that definately fit the stock location, or rear axle... i should have made that clear im sorry, was at work when i started the thread on my cell. i basically want to make a new thread like my "complete wheels and tires list" sticky, so that people can look through and say "right i need a batt for the rear axle... say 2s lipo.... that one fits, and theres the link... sweet :)" im not trying to replicate someones thread please understand that. i want to make a data base including type, voltage, config, dimentions, weight etc. all im asking really is info on your batteries, so i can make this battery data thread.

I see said the blind man to his deaf wife.:ror:
Ive done something like this before. in the case where information is coming from multiple people and not one person doing the research its best to lead by example otherwise people do whatever they want or THINK they read and it becomes a big mess.

I would figure out a layout. post it blank for people to copy & paste. then to start off fill in info with your own batteries.

for example:

Lipo Brand-
Dimensions-
capacity-
cells/voltage-
plug end-
price you paid-
Web link to where you purchased-

Lipo Brand- Gforce
Dimensions- 31mm X 20mm X 9mm(1.22in X 0.79in X 0.35in)
capacity- 180mah
cells/voltage- 2C 7.2V
plug end- JST
price you paid- $3.20
Web link to where you purchased- Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store: GForce 20C 180mAh 2S 7.4V LiPO (E-Flite UMX Replacement)

or whatever Info you feel is relevant.
everyone can post that at the top of a reply. then underneath any comments about run time or crawler underneath.
they could even use that space to give a full mod list of motor/gearing/tire size/weight of the micro so we can estimate run time.

that should help keep the posts clean so its easier for anyone to check and you can easily look at each reply to update the database on the first page

dude thats brilliant :D ive never thought of doing a copy and paste ! thanks for the advice, ill get on it :D

thanks again
No prob. Ive done it a few times when I was an admin on some car forums.
It especially helps once the thread gets longer. "thumbsup"

I think you forgot to mention * fits in stock location * you may want to add that so people know the kind of info you are actually looking for.
might be a good idea in the title as well because it again will lead people to believe its about all batteries.
let them know exactly what you are looking for "thumbsup"

i bought 4 lipo's from a helicopter site for lik $1.28 a peice. forget the site right now it's been ages since ive messed with my micro. my toyota has been taking all of my attention and money
