I have an Axial based scaler, Sidewinder, CC Bec, revolver black outrunner, on a Cross Canyon frame setup.

I want you opinion on servos in terms of run time. Torque and speed are a given.

How long do your servos last? Let's try to keep the answers to hours of crawling. If you don't crawl that much and your cheap servo has lasted for a year (10 Hours) I don't care. If you are out there every week and burn through a servo in 50 hours or more, then I want to know what are you using.

I got about 50 hours of hard crawling out of a JR9100T.

I've got a JR9100T proly 100hrs on it with zero problems. I'ts in my Comp truck i'm not easy on it either. Still running strong.
Also I run a El Cheapo Tower Pro 995 (955?). 30hrs on my clod crawler then i put it in my scale truck for maybe 40 hours of HARD abuse completely submerged in water never waterproofed never greased nothin. It worked great and it was only 10 bucks. It just crapped out on me a week ago all the bearings were seezed and rusty as hell. I think i got lucky on the 995 though...

im using the traxxas 2075 waterproofed servo about 45hrs. into it and yes I drive hard on mud, rocks still going, somehow i think I maybe lucky on this one.

im also using the servo that comes with the DX3E radio, can't remember the part no. I'm also having good luck with this one so far I got about 20hrs. or so in it on my scaler didn't even waterproofed it, I figured it wouldn't last on my scaler, but he'll it's still going. I believe it's 100 in-oz @ 6v. not sure though"thumbsup"

i'm running a jr ds8711 on my bully (and previously on my ax10) with probably somewhere around 50 hours on it without any problems. it gets slightly warm now, but other than that no glitches or stutters or anything.

im running a 7955tg in my losi now for around 35 hrs with no problems to account for it just gets a little warm after a while.

JR9100T for me! I've burnt one up but that was because the bushing in the front case went out and the servo constantly hunted for center and eventually burned the motor. Have about 100 hours on my new one and still works fine!

Wow! I must be doing something wrong! 100 hours on one servo? :???: I can't even get 100 hours on my riding lawn mower engine. At 6 min a course that is 1000 courses! At 30 min on my 850 batts that is 200 packs. In the last year. I have burned up three 9100s and a 8611. While my hobbieco and hitecs are still working they sure don't have much power anymore. The futaba is my newest and still working but it's been running on only 5v. Anyone that can get more than a couple packs out of a traxxas 2070/2075 is just way too nice. I gave up buying gear sets a long time ago.:lmao::lmao:

I have 6 toasted lipos that have served me well throughout the last year. 3 HH 1300 mah packs, and 3 Zippy 1000 mah packs, I normally get around 35-45 minutes run time out of them and I chart the charges on them and I rotate them. I figured i've had amost 150 charges between all of them. Sometimes I run about 5-10 packs a week! I have a test course in my basement that I'm constantly tweaking stuff on and some days I run 5-6 packs and others I only run 1, but I figure an average of 3 packs per week for me! And that is since last March. And I got my newest servo last march.

I'm getting ready to buy a new case for the servo because she's starting to shake a bit again. The JR 8711's and 9100's have a problem with the servo case getting wallowed out and then the gear slop makes the servo hunt for center overheating the servo motor. Replacing the case or upgrading to the aluminum case takes care of the problem.

Two Toward Pro MG946R's lasted about 50 Hrs. each, both died for different reasons. I thought they were crap, they lose power over time, the gears wear quickly, and they can't center. One Hitec HS6985HB lasted 7 Hrs. Took a fall and stripped the gears. Was nice while it lasted.

Next is a Hitec HS7950TG. Still great after more than 80 Hrs., a lot of falls and two broken output arms. I opened it to check recently, no issues.

Cheers.

Find one that you have a wide variety of servo horns and replacement case parts.
I like my powerful airtronics 97080 but it sucks finding a strong servo horn for it. Hittec, is excellent customer service, very popular, does well on my super.
