I am building a crawler using a Pede trans and a 55T motor. I do not know what size of pinion gear to get for it. The truck will be used as a crawler and trail truck. I have been searching and I think I need to use a 19 to 20. But, I do not know what pitch I need to match the Pede trans.

Thanks

I use a 12t pinion gear and a 87t spur gear on my trucks with a lathe motor. With an 3000 mah pack I can get about 2 hours of run time.

I use a 14t pinion and a 90t spur with great results on a 55T motor. The pitch is up to you most run 48 pitch. You could run 64 pitch and have twice as many gearing options.

Odds are that your Pede came with a 48P gear. Does it have a number on it signifying the number of teeth? If it's in the 80's(again, odds are) then it is a 48P.
I'd look into getting a couple different pinion gears just to try out and see what you like... Something like a 13tooth and a 20tooth.

Thanks

Thanks for all the input. I ordered a couple of different ones to play with till I find the one that works the best for me.
