What to get! Axial scx10 or spawn!

After doing some more research and listening to people bashing axials I believe they are good rigs but the trx4 sport seems to be the best bang for the buck...ordered....so many cool rigs...so many tough decisions haha

That seems a fair assessment.

Axial has made improvements despite what others say. The Raw Builders Kit is leaps and bounds better than my original Scx10 kit I put together, and the instructions were much better as well. The Honcho is substantially better in that the links are stiff enough to not bend with every rock. My 2nd gen Honcho is still running the plastic links slop free, after about 50 actual miles on the trail. Its the truck I hand off to people who want to try driving a crawler. the Original had a Y link up top and would blow out the ball joint after 5 miles or so.

To be fair, the Ascender and Trx4 are both good rigs, and the popularity of the Trx4 is showing it, Imo there is not a bad choice amongst the big three.

You won't be disappointed with the Sport! You may need to add a steering servo like a pro modler 470/630 or Savox 2290 and I highly recommend the HW1080 ESC at some point and SSD portal weights. That's pretty much it. Drive it and have fun! Post pics when you get a chance, we love pics.

That’s what I like to hear! I put a hitec servo in my summit and have had great success after I waterproofed it...from what I’ve read they seem like pretty capable trucks right out of the box and what your getting for the money can’t be beat right now...I would like to throw a Toyota fj40 body in it down the road..so many modifications so little time nice looking truck!

Just a little update...took the traxxas sport out on the trail for the first time today...it was wet...muddy...windy...and it was awesome! The truck handled 90% of what I tried...the other 10% was me just pushing it beyond limits...so happy I got the advice to go with something more scale...the challenge of smaller rocks and picking lines is so much fun...my son rocked the summit for a while but after about an hour he took the sport and I couldn’t get it back...he’s 5...still fun seeing him conqour the lines I put him on...it’s a great truck and I can’t wait to upgrade it and work on it...two thumbs up!!
