Wheelbase vs trailing arm length

I have been having issues to find TwinHammers lenght trailing arms.

The original plastic ones, Hot Racing and VP's exists - But isn't there any other vendors anymore? Can't find them from JEC, DLux... I'd like to have something that last and last and last... ;-)

Did you contact JEC on FB and check?

I bought my SS uppers and drilled front lowers direct from him, although I did get the trailing arms from SuperShafty (only because I didn't know about his FB page then - I went regular length)...

I was going to send you the link to Blue Monkeys - but their site states that they are no longer available.

Dlux never made his own, he used to sell uc fab. But they aren't available anymore. JEC can make whatever length you want but his mom is in the hospital so you'll have to be patient.

explains why it was slow to get a response about another set of rings for wheels, hope all i well, he makes good stuff and I'd like to keep supporting him.

Getting back to those TH trailing arms.
If I try stock ones (cheap experiment); how bolt one they are? New ball ends etc needed?

Bumping this thread because it's awesome and I'm going through this process right now.

With the stock axle, Wraith uppers will match Wraith lowers. With DLux's truss or a Currie axle, Yeti uppers match Wraith lowers.

I had purchased a complete 10-pc Ti link set for the Wraith, and installed them on the front of my Bomber while I was waiting for the Wraith-length trailing arms from JEC Racing. SuperShafty sells the same arms and lists them as being 129mm long. Regrettably, I haven't yet gotten a set of calipers to verify this.

The issue that has arisen is that the Ti rear upper links from the VP Wraith kit are far too short. I'm thinking that I will have to put longer rod ends on the uppers to get the pinion angle somewhere sensible. This is with stock AR60's.

Also related, I purchased front and rear (same length) SSD Wraith driveshafts and it seems that they're too long for the front and too short for the rear.

That's very strange - if I recall correctly., the Wraith front end and Bomber front end share link & driveshaft lengths... and of course, Yeti rears match Bomber rears.

As far as different vendors kits for the rear Wraith go, I'll have to say that may vary.

That's gotta be annoying as hell!

Yeah, I'm not happy with the rear links on my Bomber either... I have tried several kits, but the pinion angle seems off - it works though...

I also have the Wraith link set, this one is the stainless, but it is no way to use any parts on the rear of the Bomber! Right now I have the VP trailing arms. The idea of the longer rod ends with the Wraith links... well, I haven't tried it yet... may worth spend some time though...

My hope is with the JEC Racing (thanks again durok!) links... if they are originally Bomber/yeti spaced in the rear, small modifications for a better pinion angle would be easier with commonly available rod ends - but will see!

The difference between the Wraith and Bomber links is 16mm. I don’t think any rod end available will make up that difference.

To clarify, I'm trying to use JEC Wraith trailing arms with VP Ti Wraith upper links and an SSD Wraith rear driveshaft. I'm currently using the JEC arms with the stock plastic Bomber uppers and driveshaft and it works fine. The pinion angle is better than stock and the wheelbase shortened about 12mm.

I'm probably going to go to Twin Hammers trailing arms eventually as I am building this for crawling. I want to get some use out of the arms I have, though.

The JEC Racing Bomber trailing arms are 3mm shorter than Axial spec to bring the pinion angle up for slightly better clearance, just an FYI...

Isn't 12mm too much?

That 3mm shorter trailing arms are shorting the wheelbase by how much?

You're getting a little confused, I think. To summarize: I have a Bomber. I'm trying to shorten the wheelbase by putting trailing arms meant for a Wraith that are 16mm shorter than stock Bomber trailing arms. The problem I've run into is that the rear upper links that are meant to be used in a Wraith are too short to use with the trailing arms I bought. The appropriate length rear uppers should shorten my wheelbase the additional 4mm than using the stock Bomber rear uppers.

Does this make sense to everyone?

I've read that on the SuperShafty website. I'm using the JEC Racing Wraith trailing arms. At least they're certainly shorter than stock Bomber arms.
