Wheelbase vs trailing arm length

I'm trying to shorten the wheelbase by putting trailing arms meant for a Wraith that are 16mm shorter than stock Bomber trailing arms.

I think, I got it! Confusion is coming from the idea of wanting to shorten the wheelbase... for some reason, I thought that extending the wheelbase would provide more stability... - but hey, I'm just a newbie...

Also, I had the feeling that that the lower links/trailing arms are defining the wheelbase, while the upper links will determine the pinion angle... I can see though how an extreme pinion angle would minimal modify the wheelbase too...

Well, can not wait to see what are you coming up with!

It's the ratio of lower link to upper link length that will adjust pinion angle.

The lower links do define the wheelbase, that is correct.

Work on keeping weight low, and depending on desired handling you can also use shorter shocks to increase stability.

I'll test mine after it's complete, and then decide if I will use my 95mm Hot Racing travel limiting straps to help out.
