Hello all, new to the board, looking for some suggestions.

I am entirely new to RC, after watching people play with rock crawler at a local park I've been looking for a way to entire the hobby without breaking my bank on something unknown.

From my research I've found the Wheely King can be converted to a full fledged rock crawler as good as any in the price range(figure it'll be a $450 investment all said and done). If I enjoy it, I'll dive in.

However, I don't want to do all that right now. I want something that's out of the box water proof and 4x4 without crazy amounts of power. The Wheely King seems to be the only thing out there offering these qualities.

What I'm curious of, is there a wheel/tire combo I could add that would make this vehicle a more proficient rock crawer/trail goer? If so what should I be looking for?

Any help would be great!

My exceed 1/16 scale crawler comes waterproof from the factory and cost $100 shipped. I imagine the 1/10 version is waterproof too and cost like $150 shipped. I have beat the hell out of my 1/16 and gone through 15 or so charges and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Don't let the price fool you it's damn good and most people replace parts or upgrade their rigs anyway so this way you start off at a lower jumping off point.

Just buy the Crawler King and be done with it. They are about $230 RTR on eBay or even less if you look around.
