I need a set of 10.2 axles for a future leftover build.
What’s the best budget choice?

Best all around value , SSD ar44

Strong and complete. I have them and love them.

Hang up and Drive

SSD ar44 diamonds with Hot Racing servo on axle mount.
Also the SSD heavy knuckles. The lot come in around 320g[emoji106]

hey guys,

if you were going to build the axial ar44 complete kit axles and wanted a front overdrive of like +5%, what gears set would you order and use where? the kit come with a 30 tooth ring and 8 tooth pinion.

woudl it be the 30/8 out back and then this 27/8 in front?

i really cant justify the price of the vanquish axles, even though i love the looks and understand they probably add some nice weight and performance gains. i know there are other ways to add performance for less money.

Yes, except iirc the Boom Racing keyed front OD gears are what you want?

Really only two ratios out there for the ar44, unlike tge larger ar60’s

Yes.

Anyone seen these lol...knockjocks!

The price is 50% if vanquish but you probably cant trust much more than the housing...

Hard pass.

i would pass on those and just get the SSD diamond axles (just got a new set)... it is 100% compatible with existing scx10v2 axle components. just follow the SSD manual when building, i didn't at first and noticed my gears binding! :lmao:

Yep and it's good aluminum, not the butter soft stuff. :lmao:"thumbsup"
