Who is watching the inauguration today?

But it's not about race, isn't that what everyone keeps saying?

Yeah, its not about race.. thats exactly what you will hear all the african americans saying when they are asked what this election means to them

Its not about race to me, but I am sick of people saying Obama is something that he isn't. He is NOT the messiah, he is NOT going to change this country in a radical way, but he IS going to be just another BS politician.

Dude lighten up. It's called sarcasm, and all of what I said is true, at any rate. Obama is just as much white as he is black, and his aunt DID attempt to bring a SHARPENED spear onto an aircraft as a carry on.

yeah brotha, your right that was uncalled for ...i apologize....got a little out of hand here...my bad

It's all good dude. I have been kinda heated up all day myself.. I am just so tired of people saying he's going to change the world now that he is in office, strictly because he's black... Thats not going to happen. He is a shady politician, just like every other president thats been before him. That's not going to change just because he's a different color than the previous presidents. Thats just my opinion, and I don't expect everyone to agree with it :)

I don't know about everyone else but I don't think he will change the world because of his skin color. I think he will create positive change through his policies and thats my opinion. I don't assume that everyone who voted for McCain is racist, so don't assume that just because I support Obama that it is because he is black.

And I don't think he will do ANYTHING positive, BECAUSE of his policies, and that's my opinion. I don't agree with anything he's said regarding policies.

Isn't that a rough deffinition of politics? Is it not a disagreement, (hopefully) civil discussion, and (again hopefully) peaceful compromise?

The unfortunate truth is that it is a very large risk, and probably will be for quite a long time.

i understand that... that's not why i commented on what he said, he said the reason he watched was, "i want to see if he gets shot" btw i supported McCain, but i do NOT "want to see if OUR president get shot" that's all..

Agreed. I might have not liked everything Bush did but I never wished him dead or anything like that.

I keep hearing about the 8.5 million voting gap that Obama had.

My wife works in a state office and all of her co-workers voted Obama, when they found out that my wife voted for McCain, they wanted to know why.

After explaining to them about Obama's past association w/ convicted terrorist, his association w/ his racist hate mongering pastor, his voting record while in the Senate, his socialist views, and his total lack of experience, they were all shocked! They said they hadn't know about any of that.

Now several of them wish they hadn't been caught up in the hype and had actually done some research.

W/ the sickening media bias that Obama enjoyed, it's no wonder that he got 8.5 million more votes than McCain. The uneducated sheep that so many Americans have become, did what the media told them to do and voted for Obama. Hell I can't even count the number of times I've talked to a Obama supporter that didn't even know who his VP candidate was, much less anything else that Obama is associated w/!

Only 1,460 days left in the Obama Regime!:-(

As of today, I quit making my house payment going to sell everything off and go on welfare for the next 4 years. I'm not looking forward to the long lines though.....The new American way "thumbsup"

I watched this today/yesterday. Problem is I'm still trying to figure out how a guy who applies for the FBI, gets turned down because he can't pass a back ground check, is then allowed to become the President of the UNITED STATES:roll: Can't figure that one out????:?:

How does a guy with a DUI get elected twice? Oh thats right, he got elected. And again, just because some of Obamas supporters were "following the herd", doesn't mean all of them were as ignorant as you claim.

Riiggghht...No race issues there, hmm?

Let's try this. Bush had his run, now it's this guys turn. If he screws up like Bush did.
Who says Bush screwed up? He kept the US safe from terrorist for 7 years, I guess your right, he did screw up, what a idiot. He shouldn't have done anything so we could have been attacked every other day, and make it so that women and children can't even go outside, yeah, that's the way he should have went. /sarcasm

That's just downright stupidity. And why do his supporters always go back to that one thing? Congradulations, he "kept us safe". Of course he's the only one who could have done it and fighting in Iraq was the only way to do it. So sure he kept us safe. That's kinda like going bowling and getting a strike on the tenth frame after getting gutter balls the whole game

And if you really believe those 12 individuals were "the most informed Obama supporters" they could find, you've got bigger problems.

We'll see how many changes Obama makes from his campaign propaganda now that he is privileged to same information that President Bush was receiving.

When you live in the real world, you have to make real decisions.

$5.00 says that Gitmo is still open in a year, any takers?

4yrs and it's over. He can go no where but down from here. He will not and cannot do everything he said he would. He already tried to say he might not get everything done while in office. If we have another 9-11 which everyone already forgot. What will all those Obama followers say then. Special if its in there own back yard.
