Why No Love for the Ascender?

Great post Nate"thumbsup"

I am pretty excited to get the Ascenders back out on the trail this spring. I miss seeing that most endearing torque twist...

Haha, gotta love that lean!

I think I'm going to have to crack open my NIB Ascender kit and see if it has the holes pre-poked or not. I just ordered a 10.3 yesterday and would LOVE to put the Ascender shell on it. I still have love for the Ascender!!

Just spent a couple hours with my two kids...here’s what we ran...

TRX-4 Bronco-my 12 year old son
Marlin Crawler-me
Ascender (originally Bronco but stretched to 287mm)-10 year old daughter

EVERY SINGLE THING that could be done, she did with the Ascender with ease. It turns like a pig, makes squeaky sounds when it drives, has the lean...but climbs like a goat and goes exactly where you ask it to go.

It did so well, my son finally looked at me and said “this is crap, she has the better truck”...idk, seems the ascender does fairly well considering it was by FAT the cheapest rig out of the box.

Haha! Funny kid and he knows what he's talking about...

The K5 version is my first crawler of any type
I think I made a good choice
If I find another on c-list or the face place I will pick it up
this lil rc is a great rig I built a playground for it in my backyard
I looked at Axial , Redcat, and Element
In fact I was going to buy a Redcat gen 7 but I fell in love with this lil yellow truck
Then the shop owner said the price is $349 but you get it for $289
I have spent a lot of $$$ in there and have brought a ton of new ppl in
I have a built rustler , a TA sc10.2 , a healon conquest and a few more in different states of repair
I can't seem to take those out and play cause I wanna play with my Ascender
no love humpf they don't know what they're missing

I liked my K5 from the start and then on a whim stuck some AR44 axles under it. Now I like it even more.
