A few parks that might be worth looking into, if anyone wants to check them out. Make sure you talk to the park rangers to make sure they would be ok with our groups and trucks in their parks. Each state park can be different, depending on the local management.
Interstate park, on the WI side.
Here is the PDF map, you can see they also have a pothole trail, and a trail called horizon rock trail. Hard to tell how far the parking lots are from the rocky sections from the map though.
Willow river state park, just north of Hudson. From the google satillite images, the water fall looks pretty big... Maybe to big though. And the rest of the park seems to be wooded, or grassy fields.

Those are the only two parks that look promising, and local for us in the metro area. Hard to say if either will have the style of rock we are after, feel free to check them out though
