Wiring Diagram

i have been looking for harleys wiring diagram setup for using a duel esc with the 4pl. i have looked in his thread in the xr10 section and know where the diagram is located however seems that the picture is not loading up any more.. any help / re posting of the diagram would be a great help

yeah my bad with the duel dual... as for the pic i saw it and then i finally found this one

i should say i am building a my first rc crawler (xr10) with dual tekin fxr esc's and a hitec steering servo and a 4pl so just a little unsure which diagram i should be following

I think you are over thinking this...Its not that complicated.

From battery you have wires that go to the battery (B+ and B-) on the FXR's (dont forget the cap either). Also the BEC ties in before the esc's anywhere you want to attach it. Then from each esc a set of wires go to the motors (m+ and m-). Plug your bec into an extra port, each of the esc's to their respective channel (pull the red wire from each servo plug) and the steering into its channel.

That is it.

Alternatively if you want you can run the bec directly to the servo, just the power wires go to the bec and the signal wire (white or yellow) goes to the rx still. If you use that method then you will need to plug in one of the red wires on the esc's servo plug. That way is far superior in most peoples opinion.

I think you are over thinking this...Its not that complicated.

+1, it really makes no difference in what brand servo, motors, radio or ESC you are using, they all hook up the same way.
About the only variable is whether you run the BEC direct to the servo or run it through the RX.8)

The RX cannot handle the current draw of strong steering servo.

Most RX's have no issue with one strong servo. I run my servo through my RX and it is over 500oz/in and runs at 7.4 volts. There is no need to go direct with one servo if you are running quality electronics.

8.4v is what I find to be most RX's limit for safe operation.
