in the pursuit of coming up with an unusual osticle I have dreamed up a wobble Bridge. It would be a bridge that could move in an direction, side to side, up/down, whats everyone think about that on a course???

I'd love to see trails events become more popular in the states, specially with the scaled vehicles.

I know the Oregon guys use a bridge in their courses. It looks like it's just made from tree branches and it seems like the thing gets slippery as hell and isn't the most stable thing in the world either.

You're in K-town. I'm just on the other side of Nashville from you. I've got a huge gully out here that I keep meaning to take a chainsaw to and remove the fallen trees from, and generally clean it out - but it would make an outstanding trail type course. I'll likely be more motivated to clean it up when I have a reasonably functional crawler.

Out here in the midwest there is a small amount of rocks. So we make do with what we have, by using bridges to span obsticles and turn stuff from unpassisble to passible.
I made this bridge from pvc pipe covered in herculiner. The bridge comes apart in 4 rung sections to fit in the car and be adjustable.
My newest creation the self supporting Rope bridge. The main problem with a rope bridge is you have to find the perfect area to tie off the ends to rocks. So instead, I just used PVC pipe again to support the weight of the bridge. It still however is hard to find a perfect level area of the propper width to keep the bridge from sliding. But, I am working on making the Pvc pipes adjustable in length as so I can change the arch and lenght of the bridge.

yeah, the oregon guys have a stick bridge, just a bunch or random sticks about the same sizes, tied together. unlevel but not to hard to cross.

chino built this one for the norcal comps, he varied the angle and spacing on the branches and the width of the string holding it together, can you say scaler tire swallower, the other thing we use is just a pair of 1"x1"x6' pieces of wood

Its seems like one of my trucks is always killing the bridge...or is the bridge killing the trucks...swollowed up the old courier here
The new Bridge is alot more stable now
I think bridges are cool, nice scale touch, We also use tubes too

how about a titter totter obstacle bridgr where you get extra points for balancing it for a determined amount of time then continue
just a thought maybe it has been done in rc but i have seen done on 1:1 to shoe control and knwledge of you vechiles weight distribution
