I have always been able to find a answer to any of my crawling questions on RCCrrawler....until now! I cannot believe there is nobody out here who has not put 4ws on a Hammers? Such a sick rig but lacking in the turn radius when ur in low gear and want to do some real crawling. It has a incredibly low center of gravity, sick scale looks....and 4ws would just throw the versatility of this rig over the top. The problem it uses a diff gearing unique only to the Hammer so u cant just replace the rear solid axle with another that already has steering . If u can help me by all means....help us all make an insane rig "thumbsup"

There’s another thread somewhere about this already. But check in the 1.55 section at how the Yeti Jr axle was modded into a front axle for a build. Worth looking into. There’s a SASed Twin Hammers out there and I think he used the Ascender front axle. Maybe both, but I’m not sure.

Have you compared pics of the two rear gear sets? Find a photo of the teeth and count them to see if they’re the same ratio? What is the width of the Ascender axle compared to the TH? What’s the OD of the TH axle housing and would any CHub and knuckle fit from...say an SCX10 maybe?

Edit: found it.
