Hey yall,

I had been running a 12t Titan with a hobbywing 1080 esc in an scx10 with a 48p 87t spur and 20t pinion. I loved the torque and speed. I just bought a wraith chassis off of eBay along with a 2 speed trans (also ebay). I Installed the 12t and 1080 with the 2 speed. The there seems to be almost 1.5 revolutions before the spur engages. I have decent crawling torque in low but I have no torque or speed in high gear. Like can’t even crawl up a curb and maybe goes 12mph. I have tried the 60t 32p that came with it, with a 10t and 13t pinion. Also tried the 87t 48p spur with a 17t and a 20t pinion. I have no idea if this is a pinion/spur problem, differential, or internal trans gears. Trans info from eBay ad: Internal 1st gear ratio: 4.91:1, Internal 2nd gear ratio: 1.8:1. I am looking to replicate the setup I had in the scx10 and just be able to click into a higher gear. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the slop in the 2 peed is horable but dosent seem to hurt it.to bad in the durabulity department

the 2.2 tires are alot harder to turn than the 1.9s im surprised the 12t motor dident go up in flames right out off the bat my wraith wouldent run a 12t tittan it was just a smoke fest you wiuld need to gear way down to use a motor like that in a wraith even the 21t 550 is questionable in my opinion anyway

i would try a 27t 550 can motor geared down

I was running 5.4” boggers on the scx10 and never had any Heat issues in motor or esc. Loved the torque/speed of the 12t, it actually became my favorite car to drive. I currently have 5.6” tires on the wraith. Thanks.

I spent some time with that ax2 transmission. 10/60 gearing and a 3000kv brushless motor. You are turning 2x as many gears in the trans, and your axle gearing might not be as low as your scx10. I found my ax2 was geared substantionally lower in first than the stock single speed, and second gear was quite a bit taller. good for top speed, but not crawling in any way. I ran a Titan 12t years ago on 8cell nimh packs and loved it. It may just be finding the gearing comprimise you need to make the motor happy.
