ok, so i bought a xmod f-150.
i am a "jeepguy"/so i bought a jeep body(from a model kit)
the 4wd kit,
the lift/tire kit,
the gearing /motor kit,
so, the build is on..

stock=not very good wheelin//open diffs/

put the 4wd kit in// these parts are small!!
the flat side of the dogbones goes inward toward gears!!
pics to come!!

stock form

heres my new body OllllO

heres the lift/tire kit(would have liked bigger tires)
& lower gear/bigger motor kit

here it is after the lift & tires!!

not!!! the bodys goin on my stick nylint i call stubby(cause of its short wheelbase!

Thats just what I Plained on Doing, Just couldnt find a Jeep body and The Gearing sucked so.. I brought it back. Cant Wait to see Yours .I mite have to Go Get a Nother.

jeep body is from a plastic model kit//with the gearing kit it does a little better/& it has proportional throttle & steering.

needs diffs locked though.
with the lift & bigger tires it can handle more obsticles, but still looses traction from open diffs.

why did my xmod build get moved to general chit chat/non tech??

my cam died so i have not been able to update my build yet.
this is going to be tech!!

THIS IS GOING TO BE A ROCKCRAWLER!!

this thing doesnt have alot of flex, but i think if i can get the diffs locked it will be a decent trail rig, should handle some rocks!!
got the lift & tires in.
i think i did everything about 5 times.
put in wrong parts.

so it crawls a little better now.
i will get pics when i get batteries for my cam later.
i am going to figure out how to lock the diffs also.

lockin the spiders, they are in the middle of this gearset/
i could not get it apart, so i poured plastic model cement down in it//about 8 or 9 times from both sides.

here is the rear end

got it locked front & rear, with the notched on middle swivle cut mostly/

good flex. lots of traction.
the lowest gear still is too high though.
i need to find even lower gears or make another reduction where motor is & move motor up.

some pics of my new body & the cage in progress
i used a piece of fence & just bent it into the shape i wanted/no welding or anything
needed. but i want to put more bars in it.

this pics kinda confusin cause of the fence patrs behind it

the fence before cutting & bending

i havent figured out how to get it geared low enough or enough power for bigger tires yet.
why are these words so big??
anyway i wanna get it to do some mild crawlin/

put bearings in it

also replaced stage 1 stock motor magnets with bigger mags out of a "crest spinbrush"

yes i am juicing it up with toothbrush parts!! ;-)

Probably a stupid idea, and your motor would hate you but if you had a lathe, stupidity and welding magnets you could make some new magnets.

220,000 rpm for about 2 seconds then theyres a lot of smoke.
Joke.
If i had a motor to spare id try to make it work with welding magnets. imagine the grunt.:flipoff: :flipoff:
