xr10 parts and custom made parts build

Well, the chassis survived the comp. I didn't finish as well as I hoped I would, oh well.
I have a lot of tuning to do on this rig, mainly the shocks and level out the front axle to increase my steering.
I'll post up some video after I edit it down.
For the first time out, you did ok. And lowering it down a bit will help a bunch. Its a process"thumbsup"

That's for DAMN sure.:lmao::lmao:
Especially an un-engineered chassis with no adjustments.

I'll get."thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

I also noticed that my rear track width was way off, so decided to make some nylon spacers to balance out the T W. I'll post some pic's when I'm finished making them.

Got the shocks rebuilt and that should lower the skid to where i need it, 3 1/8 ". The upper links need to be cut to level out the servo and to give me more steering.
The hub spacers are done , just need to hit Ace HW and pick up some longer screws for the SLW's ."thumbsup"
4-40 x 1/2" should work out nicely.
I'll be posting pic's later today.

I decided to try to mod a stock set of TRX aluminum BB shock caps.
I can't believe how easy it is, it only took 5 min. to modify the caps.
Pic's to come."thumbsup"

The rig has been tuned a bit, hope it works better than last Sunday.
I will do some testing on Saturday."thumbsup"
I only have one more cap to mod, I will shoot a short video to show you how I did it.

Here are the changes I made.

After I removed the Axial shocks and put the Trx BB's on, I dropped another 1.35oz, I'm sitting at 4lb, 14.5 oz RTR weight.

I'll get the shock cap mod pic's and video up soon."thumbsup"

So whats your belly clearance now? Did ya work on the front uppers at all? It sure sits better than it did last week"thumbsup"

3" front resting, 1 3/4" compressed. Front upper links are fixed, the servo is as level as can be. Thanks Tydl for the info"thumbsup".
The BB shock really make a lot of difference, much smoother , softer and lighter. I'm so glad you didn't end up using them Bill.:lmao::lmao::mrgreen:.

Looks much better John. what weight oils are you using?

Test session went well, I didn't have any issues or problems. Tydl and I went to a new spot today and boy what a change of pace.
This location is super steep. I'm guessing around 35' tall, or deep, around 20' wide and 80 to 100' long. I'm going to post up some pic's soon.

I also will post up the pic's and video of the Trx BB shock cap mod soon, sorry It's taking so long. I've been trying to get caught up getting things done around the house.

I hope to get the DWG file back soon, this is what I need to get the X-rated chassis cut on a CNC machine in Carbon Fiber. I have been patiently waiting.

 I'm still waiting on the dwg file:cry:. I do have an update. I sent my motors back to Br00d for a Vaper treatment and WOW what a difference. He shaved almost 2 full oz of the pair. Thanks Man. Great job.

Hopefully this time my reply will post.
Anyway, it's in the works, I've yet to hear back from Mike.
I hope sometime this week. I'll let you know when I know."thumbsup"
