Hope this is in the correct section

Ok I know it may sound strange you you guys are asking. Why would you do that.

Well I got the xr10 body for serious crawling but also have a few mates that have scalers, so I thought instead of getting another crawler why not just put a body on it. Obviously I will have to do some mode to the chassis and body posts etc for the new lid but,

Can it be done, Has anyone done it. Will it look ok.

Either looking at getting the Short wheel base Jeep rubicon Pro-Line 2009 Jeep Wrangler Body 3322 for Rock Crawler

or the Axial scx10 body only and building my own tray TowerHobbies.com | AX4025R Axial Trail Honcho Body .040

Well, what do you think.

Well, what do you think.

It can be done, and im sure if you look hard enough you find someone who has done it. IMO I would look for a SCX-10, the point of a scale truck.....and the way most people in our hobby view "Scalers", is to make it as scale as possible. Thats my .02

If you like the way it looks when you done, thats all that matters....Post some pics when your done.."thumbsup"

I know this is an old thread, but here's my XR10 with the Jeep Rubicon body on it. This is for driving around the yard, comps I run the hardline body. The problem is swapping out the body mounts. You can see what I did in one of the pictures.

Any thing is possible. So go to it.

All you really need is some long body posts to get it done. Or mount some horizontal posts from the chassis sides. Will you also be running 1.9's on it?
