... albeit specific, so that's my justification for posting a new thread.

I've got a NiMH 2/ 3a 1100MAh 7.2v stick that came with my EMS 16.

I have no issue with the battery but I hate the cheapo little wall-charger that came with it. There is no indication of anything besides a red light that I guess means it's charging lol.

I also have an old Duratrax IntelliPeak pulse charger with adjustable amp settings as well as an old MRC Super Brain 969.

Could I use the Duratrax or MRC to charge this NiMH stick?

I don't have a bare lead ( jumper?) with the right connector on it but I'm wondering if I could just cut the male connector off of the cheapo wall-charger, strip the ends and then simply plug the female/ male connectors together and then run the bare ends into the pos/neg spring-clamps of the Duratrax or MRC charger?

I hope this makes sense and thanks in advance for any help with this.

Looks like setting to 1.0 amp would be the ideal charge rate for this particular battery.

Thanks very much for the confirmation that these chargers will work. I quickly read through the provided pdf manuals as well but since I don't currently have a volt-meter and have never done this particular task before... am I to assume that the wire with the long white lines is the negative?

EDIT> I guess that my previous assumption may not be correct... as the red wire that comes off the battery, goes to the side of the connector where the white-lined wire is. So maybe the white-lined wire coming from the wall charger is actually the positive?

Rather than assume, you're better off picking up a multimeter at Harbor Freight for $3 and saving your home from burning down. ;)

I knew that was coming lol.

Okay... just bought a $12 digital multimeter at my local Walmart that will hopefully serve to eliminate any need to call 911.

Thank you, SC.

Much appreciated, sportbikeco. I believe that charging this battery at 1.0 amps should be ideal but I'll keep a close watch for overheating also.
