Wasp all? So im starting. Another lame thread on this yeti thing...
Well I picked it up Friday morning from amain in Chico Cuz that's where I live..and ive had it on backorder since that first week you could preorder.. Well. I ran it on my backyard track Friday afternoon and started to really enjoy it.. Read all the other threads and wondered how long the drive shaft and rear hubs would last on this rtr..
Well Saturday came and off we went to a place called auburn performance raceway, great track and great people.. It was there inaugural event and epic it was.. The yeti broke before the races even started. The first to go was the drive line. Replaced immediately. With the mip one, never looked back.."thumbsup"
It was a tough couple qualifying rounds for the yeti but I got the bump from the b to the a.. And managed a 47 second lap with a almost bone stock Yeti.. In my A main i broke about half way through, which happen to be a rear hub spinning off the pin.. Im pretty sure I was battling for second..:flipoff:

Well had a great time at the first U4 race in Northern California...auburn performance raceway you guys and gals rock, thanks for a great time, the team will be back for the next one..."thumbsup"
Ok so the yeti did pretty well, I think I had the fastest lap in 2.2 comp with it, at 47 seconds.. I won that LCQ and got the bump, but broke in the main, typical rear well hub spinning off the pin and back threading the wheel nut out and there goes my wheel..bummer, I was in the hunt for first again and battling pretty good for second.. Next time that won't happen...:flipoff:

Going through it now, new shock oil ( secret weight) lol.. New steering servo and tring to score some new steering parts..! Who's got some aluminum steering upgrade they want me to test?... No servo saver for me that thing needs to go..

Wheels and tires are next on this as well as links and lights..

Well I got a new lid for the yeti, pro lines new baja bug body, so cool, love it.. Finally I'll be able to race and know what car is mine..lol.. And I have a love for vee dubs too.

Well just ordered all the STRC upgrade parts I can afford right now, got the steering assembly, lower rear links, motor mount, and the front casters, I just need steering links and camber links.. Which will be vanquish when they get back in stock..I also got RPM arms for it too.. So looks like I'll be even more ready for the next event in auburn..:flipoff:

Ok, got the steering, motor mount, front hinge pin mount, shock tower, caster block, axial cvds and steering hub all installed in the front end, and I got lower STRC links in the rear done too..still need those vanquish links though..

Nice. I've got a similar set of STRC gear on its way too, but in the red (which apparently you can only get from their site directly).

Glad i got it, looks good on yours!

Lucky me, weather got bad and they cancelled the u4 race... Im still in NY so yes... I wont miss any races.. Lookout dan w no points lost here...hahahah
