Just wandering what people are using for a servo on the yeti xl kit. Probably looking for 400+ in/Oz torque. I'm new to Bashing, so I will need some guidance from the experts here on rcc.

Also I was going to run a Viper 1/8th esc and motor, but it turns out they are redesigning it and is no longer available. What is a suitable replacement. I can not access the used pages here yet, but I am looking for a used Viper setup.
Thx in advance

I have the Xpret 7701's in both xl's and they've held up great, beach, rain, after every run wash downs. No issues or concerns I like them better than the savox servos that I have In my 8th scale truggies. Pretty fast too, they throw the rtr's wheels around sitting on the ground with tires FULL of water like it's off the ground.

Thanks Rob. I ordered 2 of them. One for my kit and one for my brothers rtr.

I am running the same servo. Wanted to try something different than my usual Hitec & Savox. I don't run in water, just real dusty terrain and have had dust and dirt intrusion in my Hitec & Savox servos before. I wanted to try a Waterproof servo to see if that helps. To get a feel for the rig i only programmed mine for 7.4v and i am very impressed as you stated with the speed and TQ. I can't wait to try it on 8.4v.

How's the xpert holding up? The WR-7701-HV, i keep seeing 480oz at 8.4v but on there site it says 430oz at 8.4v?

For me i only have 16 or so packs through mine at 7.4v. Perfect so far and very happy with it. Still need to program my BEC for 8.4v to see it's real potential. Can't go wrong for $100.

Not impossible but you'd be hard pressed to find a name brand waterproof 7.4v 400oz-in+ servo for under $100. I wanted the Holmes Hobby TrailMaster HV400 but it was not in stock when i was doing my electronics buying.

Ive never read 480oz-in. Would be nice but not needed IMO.
