Think about the Cherokee. It's IFS now.

EeePee 01-09-2006 10:24 PM

Doesn't count.

still, the day they change those axles to ifs, all hell will break loose and true die-hard Jeep fans will bomb whats left of the guy who made that decision.

Brian, aka XJFanatic.com 01-10-2006 10:40 AM

I'd rather they had stuck with the mtr's granted they suck for traction, but so do bfgs round here, at least the mtrs dont get twigs thru the sidewalls

Doesnt matter, these arent production models yet, chances are they'll have something goodyear. Sucks that they kept the 30/35 in everything not rubi, the rubi's 44 were barely up to the task of wheelin on 34s

onebadtrooper 01-10-2006 11:14 AM

I kinda like it. But I don't like how the front fenders slope down to the sides. and how the grill slopes back. It looks cool though in its own kinda way.... it looks better than the new fj crusier.:?

No more I-6. Now they got that tech'd up V6. I imagine owner-servicability will be shot to hell. As far as aesthetics, I'd ditch those boxing glove mirrors, the rear headrests so you can see out the back, and that front bumper/airdamn looks hokey although the air dam might actually help gas mileage a bit, as does the V6, but that V6, like the article says, is a major downer.

Four wheel discs will be nice. But what's with all the stupid ESP and Anti-Roll crap? Here's an idea: How about letting off the gas and driving it like it's a Jeep instead of Ferrari?

Oh, Oh! I'm on a roll! Just read about the Power Windows! WTF! And electronic sway bar disconnect? PLEEEEAAASE! Just more junk to malfunction!
