Default 1.55 first gen tundra/ford saga

Alright folks, this is my very first scale build. Your thoughts are welcome.

One ford flex from wally world. It was a toss up, but i figured it would be plenty original.

I decided on 1/4 in key stock for the chassis, mainly for weight, and ease of build. I made a simple profile of an scx10 chassis. I know there's a L-trail chassis lying there, same basic profile.

Next was the start of some exo action, the same way i did the frame.

The plan is to emulate the "honcho" front guard, still a few things to add.

The spring mounts and axles are just temporary.

My wheel and tire choice.
I will post more pics as progress continues.
Heres some more progress pics. Sorry its been a few..

Still workin on transmission & link mounts. Newbie at work here.....
This build has been changed to protect the innocent... I liked the flex, but I came across a much COOLER body on fleabay and well... i couldnt resist.

decisions, decisions...

im just not sure aboot the tire basket..

I decided to do a different rear tire rack, im a lot a happier with the way it flows.

12.00, 1/18 scale roughly, 8in wheel base. I have not weighed it, the weight is there to help the leaf springs work better. It is all mrc running gear. Too many guys building the same ole thing.
