I started building this last year and then put it away over summer. I got my son his first RC for Christmas and I bought a wraith spawn. Those got me in the mood to work on this one again. I named it Rambo because I want it to look like something Rambo would have driven in the movie first blood when he came home. No fancy bling Just functional accessories. I ordered the GPM steering kit but somehow broke the bottom of the chassis where it came through. So I had to frame mount the servo. I also cut the Brick and made a skid plate. | Re: Cc01 Yj "Rambo" I ordered a rear scx10 bumper from RPP and then decided I needed chop the front bumper and do something different so I used one of the sliders from my sons deadbolt and an original Tamiya bruiser bumper that I had chopped up. |

Added in some fog lights from the axial light bucket set. Also fabbed up some shackle mounts from an scx10 spare part. This is around the same time I chopped the stock running boards off. Last edited by Dubs Chops; 01-19-2015 at 09:19 AM. |

With most of the bodywork complete I decided to throw some paint on it. Hmm what color would John Rambo's Jeep be? Went with turd brown! I still need to trim it in black. And beat it up some, looks way too shiny. Last edited by Dubs Chops; 01-17-2015 at 09:55 PM. |

This dirt grabbers kept looking too small for the height the body sat at with the mods I had done to the cc01 chassis. I decided to order some 1.55 rc4wd stamped steelies and some 1.55 pit bull rockers. WOW these things are huge. No way they would fit with the stock fenders. After thinking "WWRD" I decided to cut some of the fenders off and go with the huge pitbulls. I didn't take pictures at the time so here are some from a test run today. And a little video of it on a 3s =) Last edited by Dubs Chops; 01-17-2015 at 10:10 PM. |

I will try to get a scale video of it, I am really surprised how well Rambo is doing since it is still just a cc01.

Can't say that I'm a big fan of the color, but I like what you've done overall. The Jeep looks tough. Did you make your own steering links, buy them or mod existing links |

Got my nephew the power wagon for his birthday so we went out to my land for a little bit today. Got a little video of a hill climb. |
