Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis Flipping the leaf springs around to put the fixed mounts in front and shackles in the rear like Chevy did. http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps11195220.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...psf0368c6b.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps01b7d780.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...psc12a7c07.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6fda0242.jpg |

Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis Starting body work http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8921edc1.jpg Building body mounts http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...psc96411d6.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...pse2c0d67f.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3ecfc325.jpg The metal tab pulls the body tight as it slides back. The screw lines up in the slot to keep the body aligned in the front. http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps68bf0ff9.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps67197e88.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps72e89937.jpg The rear is held with a magnet glued in place on the body. I built frame work for the magnet to sit centered on the frame. When I sit the front of the body down and pull back it self centers then the back sets the magnet right in place body don't move. I like how it works. |
Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis Here is the body mounted. Still need to do more body work and paint but I threw a quick coat of primer on for some pics. Chassis is complete except front drive shaft. http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps78b6cebd.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3d331aa0.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps867449bd.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...pse4a90361.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4046029a.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2e601d7b.jpg |
Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis This is where it sits at the moment. Been working on it off and on for a while but just now got around to starting a build thread. Will post more updates as they come. |
Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis Looks like she could haul three or four whole potatos. I can't wait to see it finished. |
Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis Here it is trailer hooked up and loaded. I ran a DX4S radio so I can at the push of a button switch from running my tow rig to running my blazer. http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3a9b9120.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9fa25ea3.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1cc0671f.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...psd6fb6f5a.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps151b3689.jpg http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...psbf8bfa68.jpg |

Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis this is a nice build. would be sweet with currie rears and aluminum rims that are 8 lug . I hate looking at sweet builds, they make me spend $ by putting more ideas in my head |
Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis Fantastic Build. So clean, definitely one of my favorites so far."thumbsup" |
Re: Clod bodied TF2 chassis The more I see those wheels the more I want a set... good job on the rig! Care to share more info on flipping a switch and swapping what rig you're driving? |
