Cut out the wood for the deck

Here it is mocked up with the wood stained. Have to get all the mechanical set then I'll take it back apart and do alot of grinding and paint it.

Where did you find the u-bolts?

So axle over the springs (last pic)?

Looks good, very inspiring. Just picked up some 1/4" x 1/4" and some 1/4" x 7/16" stainless channel... May have to do a trailer when I get caught up.

Looks good. How well do those springs work? Always wondered about that.. You can get nice looking leaf springs from Heng Long tanks but they are stiff as all hell..

The U-bolts are cable clamps.
The first pic with axles under was just a test fit. Not even the same tube.
The springs work ok by them self but I have fixed shackles so they don't move at all. May be changing that.
The tubing in this is 1/2 x 1/2.

Some more progress. Mounted the wood floor using strips of metal on the ends. Built the front rail.

Wow - mad skills. Very nice build !!! I was surprised to see the individual wheel openings on the fender - nice touch.
