Default Dodge mega cab prerunner/chase truck

I have always been into the prerunner style trucks and have a proline mega cab body and some steel rod sitting here!

Cant figure out how to mount the spare tires, which way should I go with?

i like the top pics with the tires laying flat
but on the other hand if there mounted like the third

thats what bender did with his Diablo build

Nice choice on the color .

I like the look of the first picture, but the last picture would let you make a tube bed if you wanted to go that route.

I am looking forward to seeing the progress on this. I have one that I am slowly working also.

im purchasing a second body and painting it the same color, I used tamiya paint and it flakes off

either style will be done with a tube bed and total tube frame

I will be following this build. I drive a 1:1 Dodge almost that exact color and have been contemplating building a scaler version.

I like the side by side spares.
That's what I did & good luck on the build.

Default sidexside

Id go with side by side if your going for realizim, I think laying flat would be more "mall cruiserish" but thats just my 2 cents.

thats a nice option, I have to wait for my 1.55 wheels and tires to come in from rc4wd before I make any permenate tire mounts:?

What did you use for the tube work? I am thinking of doing the same thing for mine. But I want to keep the weight down.

I used 3/16 solid rod for the durability because its going to have an r2 2 speed with a holmes can or puller not sure yet:? if you want to keep the weight down I suggest brake line
